The scope of work for mathematicians and actuaries is broader than you might think. From traditional pricing and reserving, through needs-based product design, to the application of methods from the fields of AI and DNN – with us, you can apply and expand your specialist knowledge in consulting, on client projects or in product development. The focus is always on the close integration of actuarial tasks with the technical requirements of software programming.
As a mathematician, you might, for example, work in the field of actuarial application development, analysing specific client requirements or designing and implementing needs-based technical concepts for actuarial IT solutions as part of a specific client project. Alternatively, you can make a significant contribution to product development by drafting functional and technical specifications and carrying out mathematical programming for our software solutions. You can often work across different sites and, depending on your role, you also have the opportunity not only to work behind the scenes but also to actively support all phases of a project’s development through direct client contact and to see your work put into practice.

Technical conceptualisation: Development of client-specific software solutions, such as rates and rate parameters, model calculations, new policy issues and contract extrapolations -
Implementation: Implementation of sophisticated policy requirements in the actuarial computation module -
Technical design: Product data modelling for life insurance products; design; functional analysis and IT conceptualisation of system extensions -
Quality management: Development of system-compliant execution and implementation plans, development and performance of tests -
