The two companies msg life ag and msg nexinsure ag take social responsibility towards society and are committed to support ecological, economic and social sustainability. In addition, we want to promote an open corporate culture that promotes diversity and equal opportunities and actively prevents discrimination.

Our first sustainability report for msg life is an expression of the fact that we want to take our business activities seriously and make them transparent with a view to ensuring a fair society and operating in a climate-friendly manner. In the future, we want to implement further specific measures as part of our corporate social responsibility and draw up and further implement our long-term sustainability strategy.

Data protection and ISMS certification

For us as an IT company and service provider in a highly regulated market, information security and data protection play a key role.

 

msg life ag and msg nexinsure ag operate an information security management system (ISMS), which has been certified according to ISO/IEC 27001 in the key core processes since 2022.

 

The ISMS is accompanied by measures to ensure digital operational resilience. As a third-party ICT service provider for the insurance industry, we are indirectly subject to the strict requirements of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). We also strive for high quality standards in the area of data protection, driven forward by the commitment of the companies in the area of software as a service (SaaS) and artificial intelligence (AI).

Diversity Management for msg life and msg nexinsure

Our employees are always of exceptional importance to us. Promoting prospects over the long term and treating them with appreciation is an extremely high priority for us. We are committed to good working and living conditions and provide training and support.

 

We want to actively promote an open corporate culture that promotes diversity and equal opportunities and actively prevents discrimination.

 

As a visible commitment to diversity, we therefore signed the Diversity Charter for msg life and msg nexinsure. The Diversity Charter is an initiative aimed at promoting recognition, appreciation and inclusion of diversity in the world of work.

Social aspects at msg life and msg nexinsure

Acting responsibly is an essential part of our corporate culture. We work closely with various associations, universities and schools to ensure a comprehensive exchange of expertise and the promotion of young talent. At the same time, we promote various sporting activities for a good cause.

 

Donations from msg life

When it comes to donations, we also live up to our corporate responsibility towards society. That is why we donate one per cent of the previous year’s earnings (EBITDA) of the msg life group to social institutions.

 

In 2024, we supported four great organizations with 35,750 euros each: Tafel Deutschland e.V. for the fight against food waste, Ärzte der Welt e.V. for medical care for people in need worldwide, ChildFund Deutschland e.V. for better living conditions and educational opportunities for children and Prima Klima e.V. for the protection of our forests and a more sustainable climate.

 

In 2023, we donated 100,000 euros to UNICEF to help those affected by the disastrous earthquake in Syria and Turkey and 41 thousand euros to those affected in Morocco and Libya via the two aid organizations Caritas International and Welthungerhilfe.

 

In 2022, we donated 175,000 euros to the UN Refugee Aid Germany and Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe as emergency aid for those affected by the war of aggression against Ukraine.
